Love Your Spouse More

Love Your Spouse More

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers…?” (2 Co 6:14)

“…, but he must belong to the Lord. ” (1 Co 7:39)

God commands us to marry those who belong to Christ because He loves us so much that He wants to spare us from the emotional pain of spiritual mismatch in marriage. Due to the difference in our values or other incompatibilities, the marriage of Christians and non-Christians often result in tensions and conflicts. Nowadays, many believers marry non-believers because they are so much in love with their mates. For this or maybe other reasons, even though they know they’re marrying non-believers, they still decide to go ahead and tie their marital knots. In other cases, some couples have both been non-believers, but later one spouse accepts Christ whereas the other spouse refuses to follow suit.

Vision Changes the World

Rev. Dr. Sam Chan
Senior Pastor of Richmond Hill Christian Community Church

What have changed our world and lives in the past twenty-five years? God has given us many lessons, trainings, tests and teachings through His guidance by visions. Among these, God’s supreme will is for us to live like Christ, instilling in us a Christ-likeness. To be like Christ is the paramount purpose of following Christ. Only by obeying this requirement can we realize His revealed vision. This is exactly what we have been trying to do to build up the RHCCC in the last twenty-five years.

How to Respond to Natural Disasters

How to Respond to Natural Disasters

Rev. Dr. Sam Chan
Senior Pastor of Richmond Hill Christian Community Church

Why do we have natural disasters?

God has not revealed in the Bible why there are natural disasters, but we know that the secret things belong to the Lord our God (Dt 29:29). As parents do not necessarily explain everything to their children, we just have to wait patiently for God’s time. There is no need for us to make wildguesses or offer answers to justify God’s deeds. We all know that God loves us and He has taught us how to respond to calamities in the world. There are four points to remember:
